We are all about experiences

We work closely with brands and organizations to create unique artistic experiences for their target audiences with the help of our network of eclectic artists and, yes, when we say eclectic, we really mean eclectic. We bring in that extra zing to that product or retail store launch and that 'out-of-the-box' element (a term that bosses love to use) for that otherwise regular employee engagement activity.

For example, we created India's first online literary festival

The publishing industry had taken a big hit during the lockdown in 2020 as book sales touched an all-time low. All offline events and festivals had come to a grinding halt too and there was an absolute lull as far as anything literary was concerned.

We helped Manjul Publishing House, the largest regional language publisher in the country, stir up some buzz and boost sales by creating India's first full-fledged online literature festival that took place over a period of two days.

The festival ran for two days and had more than 30 eminent authors as speakers, including Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, Devdutt Pattanaik, Rajiv Malhotra and Allan and Barbara Pease.

We also created a customized brand store on Amazon which served as the festival bookstore. The festival garnered attention from mainstream print and online media and saw an unprecedented virtual footfall of roughly 3,500 people. The brand store was visited by nearly 2000 people and nearly a 1000 units of e-books were sold.

Thank you for including me. I am glad there was so much interest in the literature festival. You had a great lineup of authors. I think people really enjoyed it. It was a valuable thing for you to organize during quarantine. Excellent publicity, too!

Can music and books co-exist ?

Another example of how we constantly keep on pushing ourselves to create better experiences is Live At The Bookstore - a first-of-its-kind and wholly owned property of theSound where critically acclaimed musicians from India and abroad perform at Atta Galatta, a popular bookstore in Bangalore, India.

Established in April 2019, each show has sold out regularly, reaffirming our desire of helping music lovers discover great quality music (from Carnatic jazz to percussive freestyle guitar) in the cozy confines of a bookstore.
